Local pop-up roller skating favorite Roll Haus is partnering with The Rogue Roundabout to host the Downtown Conway Street Skate this weekend.

For one evening only, a section of downtown will close off to create an outdoor skating area.

Skating kicks off with an all-ages family-friendly afternoon session.

Then as the sun sets, the main Street Skate session runs for confident skaters to roll to the backdrop of music, street eats, and craft beverages served up by The Rogue Roundabout kitchen.

Conway was thrust into the national spotlight over the past week as internet superstar Kai Cenat hosted his massive 2026 Streamer University bootcamp right here on the Hendrix College campus.

Running from July 15 to July 20, the high-profile, 6-day live-streamed event brought millions of online viewers from across the globe straight to Conway.

The campus buzzed with energy as students and fans caught glimpses of prominent content creators, celebrity guest professors, and star-studded visitors.

The Antique Alley Arkansas Antique Show!

The event will feature over 200+ booths from exhibitors across a number of states who have come to Conway to display their wares.

The UCA Summer Theatre is officially kicking off its third annual season this Friday night, June 19th, with a spectacular run of Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood!

This isn’t your typically stuffy, traditional period piece.

Written by Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig, Sherwood is a fast-paced, high-energy, and hilarious reimagining of the classic legend.

Packed with physical comedy, live archery, intricate swordplay, and sharp wit, the story follows the famous outlaw and Maid Marian as they challenge corruption and defend the powerless.

The production brings together talented professional artists alongside UCA Theatre students to deliver elite artistry right to Conway.

There’s a water curtailment situation, a popular local business is moving, and the summer calendar is filling up fast with things worth getting off the couch for.

💧 Conway Corp Moves to Phase 2 Water Curtailment

If you haven’t seen the news yet, Conway Corporation has officially moved to Phase 2 of its Emergency Water Curtailment Plan.

That means mandatory water restrictions are now in effect for residents and businesses across Conway.

The root of the issue is Brewer Lake, which has been dealing with declining water levels after an unusually dry winter and spring.

Here’s what Phase 2 means for residential customers (details from the Conway Corp website):

• Customers must water their lawns, gardens and shrubs on opposite days:

  • Even numbered side of the street may water on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

  • Odd numbered side of street may water on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday

• No watering may be done on Wednesdays

• Customers must decrease their irrigation significantly

• Vehicles may be washed only at either high pressure, low water usage car washes or, if at home, using a pressure washer or a garden hose with a shut-off nozzle.

In case you missed it, the June Art Walk: “Strike a Pose” took over downtown Conway last Friday June 5th.

🌟 Conway Is Growing (The Numbers Back It Up)

Conway has officially topped 72,000 residents, and the latest U.S. Census figures have placed the city among the 76th fastest-growing cities in America for places with a population of at least 50,000.

To put that in perspective: there are over 800 cities in that size category across the country, and Conway is keeping pace with some of the most talked-about boomtowns in the South.

Since 2020, Conway has added nearly 8,000 residents, and it’s not hard to see why.

Three universities, a growing healthcare sector, a downtown that keeps getting better, and a neighbourly feel that bigger cities spend a lot of money trying to create.

For Conway, this milestone is a checkpoint on a much longer road, and from the look of things, that road is being built rather well.

🤽‍♀️ Water Safety Event at Beaverfork Lake

This Saturday, June 6, Beaverfork Lake Park plays host to the 3rd Annual Water Safety Event, organized by the Ken Brindley Memorial Foundation.

The event runs from 10am to 2pm and is free to the public.

Beaverfork is a 960-acre lake with a swim beach, boat ramps, a disc golf course, and enough picnic space to keep an entire family busy for an afternoon.

It gets a lot of use all summer long, which is exactly why this event matters.

Each year it brings out families, swimmers, and community members who want to make summer safer for everyone.

The Women’s Business Showcase is coming to the Conway Expo Center on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The event is organized by WLN as a vendor‑style shop‑and‑network experience built specifically around women‑owned businesses, with time set aside both for shopping and for networking.

With 150+ vendors already attending, it is designed to help women entrepreneurs meet customers, find collaborators, and make professional connections all in one place.

Stop by and browse, do a little supporting, meet some like-minded women, and maybe end the day with a small purchase or even a new business acquaintance.

The Conway Characters in the Park 2026 features Heroes and Princesses bringing a family‑friendly event to the week.

It’s set for this Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Laurel Park, 2310 Robinson Ave.

Mother’s Day is coming up this Sunday 10th May, and we have all the brunches, markets, and craft event’s available so you know where to take Mom for her special day.

⚖ Your Chance to Weigh In on The Data Center.

Conway is getting another chance to weigh in on the proposed data center, and that conversation happens next week at City Hall.

It’s the kind of local issue that affects the whole town, so if you’ve got thoughts, this is your moment to share them.

The data center was announced last year and would be located in Southwest Conway.

The public committee meeting happens Tuesday, May 12, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Conway City Hall.

Mayor Bart Castleberry says the goal is to:

• Listen to residents

• Gather feedback

• Keep the process out in the open

It will give local Conway people a chance to share their thoughts and air concerns.

It’s not every week that a city issue comes with this much suspense and whether you’re for it, against it, or just trying to figure out what it means for Conway, this meeting is the place to be.

🐸 Toad Suck Daze Brought It (Again)

If you were anywhere near downtown Conway this past weekend, you already know that Toad Suck Daze 2026 delivered.

Featuring Uncle Kracker as the headliner and bringing together food vendors, live music, carnival rides, and the kind of community energy that reminds you why Conway is something special.

The festival is in its 45th year and presented by Baptist Health Conway to raise scholarship funds for Arkansas students. So every corn dog, funnel cake, and deep-fried-whatever you consumed was practically an act of charity. (You’re welcome, future graduates. 🎓)

One of the most talked-about new additions to Toad Suck Daze 2026 was Hands on a Hyundai, an endurance-style competition brought to Conway by First Community Bank and Chris Crain Hyundai.

The contest was won by Jacob Smith, a 46 year old, a lifelong Conway resident, and social worker.

After 79 hours and 30 minutes he walked away with the keys to a brand-new 2026 Hyundai Santa Cruz - exactly the kind of story Conway loves to celebrate.

🚘 New Business Opening: Rich’s Garage

Rich’s Garage is opening its new Conway location this Saturday, May 9, and they’re celebrating with a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event looks like a proper community-style kickoff, with free authentic Mexican food, plus grand opening deals and a few extras to draw folks in.

The shop says it’s ready to bring customs and repair services to Conway, and if you’re the kind of person who likes lifted trucks, tasty tacos, and a little small-business energy, this one should be worth a stop!

Toad Suck Daze is just around the corner, and this edition has a little music, a little bookish buzz, and a few things worth saving for later on.

Conway Men’s Chorus Spring Concert

This spring, the Conway Men’s Chorus is giving the city something to look forward to.

The Chorus will take the stage at Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus on Tuesday, May 5th at 7:00 p.m. for their annual Spring Concert, themed “Songs of Faith. Songs of Spirit. Songs of Fun.”

This year’s program is a remarkable showcase of choral range with over 60 voices on stage, performing everything from the deeply spiritual to the delightfully playful.

Expect the beautiful perennial favorite “Be Still My Soul,” an inspiring new arrangement of “Amazing Grace,” and a mysterious choral take on the “James Bond Theme.”

Bob Dylan fans will be treated to a unique version of “The Times They Are A-Changin’,” while gospel-lovers will tap their feet to a joyful rendition of “This Little Light of Mine.”

Before the men take the stage, the Diamond State Women’s Chorus will perform as guest artists, making this an evening of both male and female vocal excellence.

Bring the family, bring the neighbors, and prepare to be moved.

Person Of The Week: Dr Terry Fiddler

Earlier this month, the Arkansas Mission of Mercy Dental Clinic took over the Conway Expo Center, bringing together hundreds of volunteers, including dental professionals, who donated their time and expertise to deliver an estimated $25 million in free dental services to thousands of Arkansans in need.

The heart and soul behind all of it is Dr. Terry Fiddler, a Conway native who retired after 43 years in dental practice and has since devoted himself to making sure this free clinic keeps coming back, year after year.

Since ArMOM was founded, over 28,000 Arkansans have been treated and more than $23 million in free dentistry has been provided.

The Arkansas Foodbank has officially moved its Summer Cereal Drive Kickoff to this month, with local events starting April 24.

The Summer Cereal Drive has provided more than 5 million breakfast items to children and families across the Arkansas Foodbank’s service area.

Local campuses and community centers are already gearing up to help children who lose access to school meals during the summer.

It’s a great week to start a collection bin at your office or school to help ensure no kid in Faulkner County goes hungry this summer.

🦷 Free Dental Care at Conway Expo Center

If you’ve been putting off a dentist visit because of cost, insurance, or just sheer anxiety (no judgment, we see you 👀 ), this weekend is your moment.

The Arkansas Mission of Mercy is at the Conway Expo Center this Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11 for its 18th annual two-day free dental clinic.

The clinic provides free dental services to children and adults of all ages, with no insurance, income verification, or eligibility documentation required.

Services include cleanings, fillings, and extractions, and patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Here’s what you need to know before you show up, there’s an 800 patient limit so plan to be there early:

• Registration opens at 3:30 a.m.

• Bring food, water, and something to sit on.

• Children under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Since 2006, the Arkansas Mission of Mercy has provided more than $23 million in free dental care and served more than 28,000 Arkansans.

The event also needs volunteers, including non-dental community members.

The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce recently held its Annual Meeting and handed out some well-earned recognition.

The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce named Hendrix College President Dr. Karen Petersen as its Business Executive of the Year.

The award recognizes leadership that drives institutional excellence while fostering economic and community growth within the region.

President Petersen has significantly deepened the bond between Hendrix College and the city of Conway.

This partnership is most visible in the ongoing growth of The Village at Hendrix, with the arrival of fresh businesses and the launch of a new entertainment district, transforming the area into a vibrant hub for both students and residents.

Baptist Health Medical Center was also recently celebrated as the 2026 "Outstanding Business" for large employers (150+ staff).

The facility is celebrating a decade of service in the community and continues its commitment as a lead sponsor for the upcoming Toad Suck Daze festival.

• The Conway Art Walk is a vibrant, family-friendly event held on the first Friday of every month.

This Friday, the “Get Moving!” theme will take over downtown, highlighting kinetic art and live performance.

🐸 Toad Suck Daze Just Got Even MORE Exciting!

Toad Suck Daze just revealed its 45th annual lineup, and it doesn’t disappoint.

Organizers announced more than $138,000 in charitable giving ahead of the event’s 45th annual celebration.

Since 1982, the festival has contributed more than $2.7 million to scholarships, education programs, and community initiatives.

Here’s who’s taking the stage:

Friday Night:

Mr. Sipp - Mississippi Blues Child : A Grammy-winning blues performer known for his high-energy shows, joined by indie rock artist Zach Person.

Saturday Night Headliner:

Uncle Kracker: The multi-platinum artist known for crossover hits like “Follow Me” and “Drift Away”. He’ll be joined by rising country artist Shane Profitt and Arkansas native Trey Pendley, along with performers Zach Mackenzie and Charlie Rock.

And that’s not all!

A new contest is set to headline the 2026 festival giving participants the chance to win a vehicle through an endurance-style competition called Hands on a Hyundai.

The competition is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 at the corner of Oak and Parkway in downtown Conway, kicking off the weekend festivities a day early.

The last person with their hand on the Hyundai wins the car. Yes, really.

🔬 Conway Hosts Arkansas’s Best Young Scientists

If you’re on or near the UCA campus on Friday, April 3, keep an eye out for some of the brightest young minds in the state.

The 72nd annual Arkansas State Science and Engineering Fair (ARKSEF) is coming to UCA’s Farris Center in Conway on Friday, April 3, 2026, showcasing brilliant ideas from Arkansas’s future scientists and engineers.

• More than 90 judges will evaluate projects across 22 student categories spanning engineering, biological sciences, and physical sciences.

• Top performers will earn the chance to represent Arkansas at the International Science and Engineering Fair.

It’s a big deal, and it’s happening right here in Conway.

🍕 Conway’s New Pizza Restaurant Is Almost Here

If you’re a pizza lover then you are in for a treat.

Rotolo’s Craft & Crust is set to open in Conway in late April or early May, and it’s bringing Detroit-style pizza (a rectangular, thick crust pizza) to the city.

The Louisiana-based restaurant is known for its elevated take on casual dining.

The menu features deep-dish pizzas, traditional stone-baked pies, pasta, wings, burgers, fresh salads and more.

Rotolo’s also offers a variety of craft cocktails, a curated wine list, and a selection of draft and local brews.

Just in time for the better weather, the new location at Prince St, will feature an outdoor patio for al fresco dining and casual eats.

🏗️ Build My Future Returns to Conway Expo Center

Conway is about to play host to one of the most hands-on career events in the state.

Build My Future is back for its third year at Conway Expo Center this April.

It is an immersive construction career showcase hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors of Arkansas.

Students will work with contractors and suppliers, use power tools, VR simulators, and have the chance to operate heavy equipment in a safe, real-world environment.

Construction jobs across Arkansas are in high demand, and this event is an opportunity for young people to explore careers that are growing fast and pay well.

The 3-mile stretch from Tyler Street to Hogan Road is lined with trees starting to bloom. Go before the heat settles in.

🏞 Cadron Settlement Park

Trails, history, and Arkansas River views. One of the most undervisited spots in the area. The replica blockhouse and Cherokee Trail of Tears memorial make it worth the trip even before you hit the trails.

🎣 Lake Conway

Lake Conway is the largest man-made Game and Fish Commission lake in the United States. Bass and crappie are actively biting this time of year, so if you’ve been waiting for a good weekend to get a line in the water, this is it!

Hole In The Wall Cafe

If you’re tired of the polished, pre-packaged, plastic-and-steel aesthetic of newer developments, Hole in the Wall Cafe is the antidote you’re looking for.

While other spots in town try to modernize home cooking with fusion twists, Hole in the Wall leans into the classics.

Daily specials range from fork-tender pot roast to crispy catfish and are served with the kind of seasoned sides (skillet fried cornbread!) that taste like they’ve been simmering since sunrise.

This week we want to give a shoutout to the Faulkner County Library staff and volunteers who keep a packed calendar of free, useful events running week in and week out.

Find classes and programs like Chair Yoga, Writing Workshops, Genealogy Resources, Job Search Help, and much more.

It’s a remarkable amount of community value that doesn’t get nearly enough credit.

This week, we are celebrating serious economic growth with a major opening, getting our shopping bags ready for the return of a local favorite, and checking in on a new downtown addition that’s sure to be a “novel” experience.

🏗️ Clayton Homes Opens New Facility

The horizon in Conway’s industrial sector just got a lot more impressive.

This week marks the official opening of the new Clayton Homes facility, a massive project that has been months in the making.

Clayton has invested $42 million in modernizing the 220,000-square-foot facility which is expected to build 3,000 homes each year and create more than 250 new jobs in the region.

This is a significant boost for our local economy and Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders joined company executives and local leaders for the grand opening

For those who have watched the construction progress, seeing the lights on and the teams moving in is a welcome sight.

It’s another clear sign that when it comes to growth, Conway is “building” a very bright future.

It might only be mid-March, but the Conway Farmers Market is already dreaming of April.

They have officially announced their return for the 2026 season and are now accepting vendor applications for an April kickoff.

So, if you’ve got the best heirloom tomatoes in Faulkner County, the fanciest handmade soaps, or baked goods that make people skip breakfast, now is your time to shine.

Getting in early ensures you have a spot when the community flocks back to support local growers and makers.

• Location: Antioch Baptist Church

• Action Item: If you’re a maker or grower, head to their social media or website to snag an application before they fill up!

Downtown Conway is about to get a little more literary.

We’ve caught wind of a new women-owned and operated store, Pages & Ink, currently being set up with an opening scheduled for April.
