The city just hit a major population milestone, there’s a new gathering space taking shape downtown, and the summer social calendar is stacking up nicely.

🌟 Conway Is Growing (The Numbers Back It Up)
Conway has officially topped 72,000 residents, and the latest U.S. Census figures have placed the city among the 76th fastest-growing cities in America for places with a population of at least 50,000.
To put that in perspective: there are over 800 cities in that size category across the country, and Conway is keeping pace with some of the most talked-about boomtowns in the South.
Since 2020, Conway has added nearly 8,000 residents, and it’s not hard to see why.
Three universities, a growing healthcare sector, a downtown that keeps getting better, and a neighbourly feel that bigger cities spend a lot of money trying to create.
For Conway, this milestone is a checkpoint on a much longer road, and from the look of things, that road is being built rather well.

This Saturday, June 6, Beaverfork Lake Park plays host to the 3rd Annual Water Safety Event, organized by the Ken Brindley Memorial Foundation.
The event runs from 10am to 2pm and is free to the public.
Beaverfork is a 960-acre lake with a swim beach, boat ramps, a disc golf course, and enough picnic space to keep an entire family busy for an afternoon.
It gets a lot of use all summer long, which is exactly why this event matters.
Each year it brings out families, swimmers, and community members who want to make summer safer for everyone.
It’s a good use of a Saturday morning - bring the kids, learn something useful, and stay for the sunshine.

🎭 UCA’s 2026-27 Public Appearances Announced
If you’ve been sleeping on what the University of Central Arkansas brings to Conway’s cultural calendar, consider this your wake-up call.
The full 2026-27 season lineup at Reynolds Performance Hall has been announced, and it is impressive.
The Broadway series includes productions of:
Clue
Mrs. Doubtfire – The New Musical Comedy
A Christmas Story – The Musical
Shucked.
On the music side, rock legend Ann Wilson (of the group, HEART) headlines the Pops Series, joined by country great Mark Chesnutt and the crowd-pleasing Straight No Chaser.
There’s also a live conversation event with Jon Heder and cast members from Napoleon Dynamite.

Gelato Is Coming, and Conway Is Ready!
It’s not often we can combine a new business opening with a food spotlight item - but Las Delicias just made it possible!
If you’ve already discovered Las Delicias on Old Morrilton Highway, you know it provides handcrafted ice cream with amazing flavors in a warm family-run atmosphere.
Well, they just raised the bar even higher.
On the back of their recently announced new location on Harkrider St, Las Delicias has informed us that gelato is coming, and not just any gelato.
