StreamerU Takes Over Hendrix College
Conway was thrust into the national spotlight over the past week as internet superstar Kai Cenat hosted his massive 2026 Streamer University bootcamp right here on the Hendrix College campus.
Running from July 15 to July 20, the high-profile, 6-day live-streamed event brought millions of online viewers from across the globe straight to Conway.
The campus buzzed with energy as students and fans caught glimpses of prominent content creators, celebrity guest professors, and star-studded visitors.
Plus! A special video welcome from Drake.
Kai Cenat kicked off the 2026 event following a nine-month streaming hiatus, pulling in over 1 million concurrent viewers on his reveal stream alone.
It highlighted how digital creator events can instantly transform cities like Conway into global focal points of youth culture overnight, and put our local college town on the map for a whole new digital generation.

Conway Public Schools recently announced some fantastic news for local education.
136 teachers across the district have been officially awarded State Merit Pay for exceptional perfromance.
Totaling $445,500 in recognition, these awards celebrate local educators for exceptional classroom performance, dedication, and measurable student achievement.

🍚 Food Spotlight: Soul Food Cafe Mission
This is not the usual food spotlight feature, but Soul Food Cafe Mission needs your help - so we’re spreading the word.
This non-profit gives out food boxes, and clothing along with haircuts and hot meals every Tuesday at their location on Donaghey Ave and they are calling for donations.
